Neosho County is located in southeast Kansas. It is named for the Neosho River, which runs through the county.
The seat is Erie while the largest city is Chanute.
It borders Allen, Bourbon, Crawford, Labette, Montgomery, Wilson and Woodson Counties.
Major highways include US-59, US-169, K-39, K-47 and K-146.
